All wards in the Department of Pregnancy Pathology, Extragenital Pathology, Fetal Medicine and Early Pregnancy are suitable for 1-2 pregnant women. Our task is to manage  pregnant women with pathology, support in the event of complications of pregnancy in the form of a qualified round-the-clock care. We provide the highly qualified obstetric care on a planned and emergency basis around the clock.

While most pregnancies proceed normally, some require special care. This may be due to different abnormalities from the normal course of pregnancy. The “pregnancy risk group” includes women with hypertension, varicose veins, heart disease, bronchial asthma, pyelonephritis or other chronic diseases. Sometimes woman in labour need a qualified medical support from the first weeks of pregnancy in order to carry a healthy child or children.

Depending on the medical situation, different specialists may work on the treatment plan: obstetricians-gynecologists, geneticists, hematologists, therapists, psychotherapists, emergency physicians – those physicians responsible for medical care of the pregnant woman and the child. We use safe methods of diagnosis and drug therapy, as well as surgical treatment of pregnant women.

We provide psychological support  and create conditions that are suitable for art therapy classes, preparation for childbirth, discussions, and roundtables.

The Department is provided with modern equipment to carry out continuous monitoring of the condition of the mother and the child, safe and effective treatment of various obstetric and extragenital pathologies.

Our personnel specialize in helping pregnant women in cases of:

  • miscarriage of various etiology;
  • diseases of vision organs;
  • multiple pregnancy;
  • antiphospholipid syndrome and thrombophilia;
  • heart disease;
  • benign tumors;
  • Rh- and ABO-conflicts;
  • premature rupture of membranes.
